The Second Project is UP!


Hello there!


so this is one the WIP Projects done (the first of the two) it took a bit longer than expected but rushing sometimes makes for a bad output that is pointless.

it was a really fun experience seeing it working with minimum bugs and high polish, especially the online aspect of it oooh man it was stressing me out at the start, but step by step i was there and it was glorious (for me as a first).

also i'm glad to say that i kept a journal -kinda- that i decided to record my daily progress in, and also as a todo list, by the end i realised it was basically a simple version of a gdd, so here it is, BEHOLD the captains log:



Day1: patient and instruments art, (game basic idea, surgeon side idea)

Day2: surgeon's board art and general improvements to previous art, importing and set-up the art in godot, machine arm art, machine screen art, (machine side mini games ideas)

Day3: designed machine interface

Day4: redesigned some surgeon's board element, coded element movements, coded navigation.

--Day5: started another project(HSS)         --Day5(HSS): Done car art, started tree art

Day6: worked on patient, updated another project(PRH)         --Day6(HSS): added on car art, figured a design for tree art.

Day7: programmed most functions of the machine's arm

Day8: continued programming functions of the machine's arm (finished operations)

Day9: finished eye movement and reactions

Day10: finished machine arm hitting, updated another project(PRH)

--Day11: unrelated life stuff

--Day12: unrelated life stuff

Day13: unrelated life stuff's end, start of tools coding

--Day14: nothing

Day15: finished tools coding, updated another project(PRH)

Day16: (20/8/2024) fixed laser bug, finished surgeon side's base game

Day17: designed and started coding logic operations

Day18: finished coding logic operations

Day19: finished coding arithmetic operations

Day20: started finishing up machine side

--Day21: (DTJ game jam)

--Day23: nothing

Day24: finishing up machine side

Day25: (29/8/2024) started connecting and synching sides (mostly done)

Day26: shaders and an improvement

Day27: more lighting, and improvement, and pamphlet art

Day28: wrote, coded, and added the pamphlet. started working on machine side tips

Day29: ?????

Day30: finished machine side tips

Day31: started connecting sides

Day32: (5/9/2024) connecting sides , polishing both sides

Day33: connecting sides , polishing both sides

Day34: sfx , bug fixing , polishing

Day35: sfx , bug fixing , polishing

as you can see almost everyday of the last month was work, i was learning some new stuff, and it was kinda like creating two separate game at once, and you've probably noticed the other stuff, i joined a game jam to try it out for the first time, and worked on updating my old project a little but.

the -- represents a day i didn't work on the project on, so the project took me 29 days of work an 36 days of life.

at the end i'd like for you all to enjoy it now, i made it free for a while also i don't plan on charging much for it later, so grab two copies for you and your pal and have a bit of fun.
